About Us

OpenFM is an independent not-for-profit organisation which aims to open the minds of the Dublins’ wider community about the LGBT community.

It has being established by Liam Cahill, Sam Lyons and Emma Carroll out of a passion for both radio and a sense of equality. It is overseen by an independent board of nine who have a vari ety of experience working in media, public relations and alongside young people. OpenFM has elected to work with HeadsUp.ie and GCN Forever, in an effort to help raise their awareness and funds.    [pride]

OpenFM, the station which is proud to celebrate diversity, will be Ireland’s first radio station to investigate the sub-cultures of the gay community. We hopes to use this unique opportunity to reach out and educate Dublins’ wider community. We are also going to feature a guide to What’s happening during Dublin Pride Week.

Open Mouth is exactly as it says it is: a talk show thats dynamic, energetic and open to a whole range of hardhitting topics affecting both the straight and gay community. But heck, its not all serious. In fact, our goal is to balance features that go from making your blood boil, to your heart weep. And hey, we’re great believers in throwing in plenty of belly laughs along the way.
